How to supply your MASTER
This section deals with how you should supply your master,
whether it's for duplication or replication.
Supply of Masters for Replication
It's very important that you thoroughly check your master
before you send it to us as the replicas that we produce
will be 100% replica copies of your master. Any authoring
errors, typo's, bugs, plips or bloopers will be on your
replicated discs if they are on your master. We cannot be
held responsible for errors on your replicated discs if they
are on your original master, so please ensure your Masters
are quality assured.
In order to begin the replication process we need to create
a Glass Master and in order to do this, we need to have a
physical Master, not a file sent by email or uploaded to an
FTP site. We can create a Master for you but there is a
small charge as 'Master Creation' process is involved.
If we do create a Master for you, we will
send it you to approve before we proceed into production,
unless you sign a proof waiver (making you responsible for
any issues relating to master creation).
Please contact
us if you would like more information on Master Creation
and the process
For CD replication we need your Master on a high
quality CD-R - not packet written
for DVD5 we need a high quality DVD-R or DLT
for DVD9 we need 2 x DLT (1 per layer)
for DVD10 we need 2 x DVD-R or 2 x DLT (1 per layer)
Supply of Masters for Duplication
It's important that your CD or DVD master is thoroughly
checked before sending it in for duplication. As part of the
duplication process it's standard for us to send you a
physical proof, which gives you a final opportunity to
verify that the disc operates as you intend. We strongly
recommend trying this on different platforms and different
players.
If you chose to sign a proof waiver and
not receive a proof, this is fine, but all responsibility
for any issues relating to the duplication of the master
rests with you. However we do appreciate that this is
sometimes necessary where you have an extremely tight lead
time.
For CD duplication - we require your master on a high
quality CD-R- not packet written
For DVD-R - we require your master on a high quality DVD-R
For double layer DVD-R we require a high quality Double
layer DVD-R (DVD+DL)
Please contact us if you have
any questions on this.
